A glam maximalist wedding in the Catskills, New York.
When I first chatted with Arden & Matt about photographing their wedding they explained would be a maximalist glam dance party wedding in the woods. And they delivered. Arden is a photographer and Matt is a musician who works with Arden’s family running Foxfire Mountain House, a beautiful inn tucked away in the Catskill Mountains outside of Mt. Tremper, New York. They knew they had to get married at the gorgeous place they have put so much of their heart into but, having both been wedding professionals themselves, they also knew that it had to feel completely different from every other celebration they’ve seen. They poured their creative souls into every detail, from the soundtrack Matt curated himself, to the archway they constructed in the woods, to the hand painted shells with each guests name. There were ostrich feathers and sparkles and the most beautiful cake I’ve ever seen. Things got emotional, and then they got wild. I’m pretty sure I saw a child crowdsurfing.
